Yazmin Rodriguez

Yazmin Rodriguez is super excited to join the 6 News Morning Team as the newest co-anchor. Originally from New Jersey, Yazmin is so glad to be closer to home. She comes from WOAY-TV in Oak Hill, WV where she served as the evening anchor and producer for just over two years. Before that Yazmin got her undergraduate degree from Monmouth University in New Jersey and her masters degree from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.

At Monmouth, Yazmin served as a director, a producer, reporter and anchor for HawkTV, the college ran station. During her junior year of college, Yazmin interned at ABC’s The Chew in New York. In grad school, Yazmin served as a producer and anchor as well. She also interned at WRAT, a radio station down on the Jersey Shore.

In her free time, Yazmin loves hitting the gym, cooking, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching as much as she can! If you have a new show or movie to watch, she’s always looking for recommendations so reach out with some!
