PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Wednesday that goaltender Matt Murray will be out indefinitely following the death of his father.

In a brief statement, the organization said Murray's father, James, died in Ontario Tuesday.

Murray will not be with the Penguins during the team's west coast trip and will "miss an indefinite period of time to be with his family," according to the Penguins.

Murray has started 28 of 46 games for Pittsburgh this season. The team is currently on a four-game winning streak.
