McCort, Chestnut Ridge wrestling with high expectations

High school wrestling season is just around the corner, and the Bishop McCort Crushers and Chestnut Ridge Lions will look to build off last year's successes.

Bishop McCort is starting the season with a new coaching staff after recently being placed on probation for recruiting violations, and seeing head coach Shad Benton let go.

The Crushers begin the season with new co-head coaches John Rizzo and Tom Smith

Rizzo won three PIAA championships as a Richland Ram, and played football at Temple, before transferring to Pittsburgh to finish his collegiate career as a member of the wrestling team.

Meanwhile the Lions will also challenge, featuring Justin McCoy who returns to defend his PIAA title from last year.
