In the win, standout Hailey Sheesley eclipsed 1,000 career points pouring in 20 for the game.

Another piece of local girl's hoops news Thursday, Bob Gongloff is on a leave of absence within the Bishop Carroll program.

As confirmed by CEO Lynn Weber in a statement to 6 sports, assistant coach Amy Oravec will take over the program for Gongloff.

Gongloff is one of the area's most successful coaches, winning two state titles, and eclipsing 400 career wins in two separate stints with the Lady Huskies.

Lastly, on the wrestling mat at Bishop McCort, powerhouse Chestnut Ridge defeated the host Crushers 71-6.
