Franco headed back to Tyrone, pending board approval
TYRONE -- Tyrone will reportedly bring back John Franco to fill its head football coaching vacancy.
The move is pending board approval, and Franco is listed in the agenda for Tuesday's school board meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Franco spent the past two seasons at Penn Cambria, where he took the Panthers from a win-less finish in 2017, to a 4-6 record in 2018.
This will be his second stint as the head man at Tyrone, he previously guided the program to three berths in the PIAA title game, winning the only state football championship in school history back in 1999.
