JOHNSTOWN – Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Johnstown man they said provided heroin to another man who died of an overdose.

Police are seeking to arrest Mickey Updike, 49, of Chestnut Street. He is charged with drug delivery resulting in death; manufacture of a controlled substance, drug, device or cosmetic; and criminal use of a communication facility.

Police said they responded to an overdose at the Town Manor Motel on Johns Street April 26.

Police said Updike provided Paul Anderson and his live-in girlfriend with fentanyl-laced heroin in Room 31. Police said they injected the heroin in the bathroom.

Authorities attempted to revive Anderson, but he died.

The woman left the room with her daughter, police said.
