Third person charged in connection with 2017 fatal overdose in Elk County
RIDGWAY, Pa. - A third person has been charged in connection to a 2017 overdose death in Elk County.
Andre Frazier, 25, of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, has been charged with conspiracy to drug delivery resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility and manufacture with intent to deliver.
According to police, Frazier sold heroin to Allison Miller, which led to the overdose death of Kaityln Buerk in March 2017.
Police said Miller and Thersea Sample arranged the sale of heroin to Buerk March 30, 2017.
Buerk later died of a heroin overdose, and investigators said the heroin turned out to be straight fetanyl.
Miller and Sample were charged in Buerk's death in February.
Miller has pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced to serve four to 10 years in prison.
Sample's trial is slated to begin in June.
Frazier is in the Elk County Prison after being denied bail and has a preliminary hearing set for May 30.
