State police investigating death in Cambria County
SANKERTOWN -- State police are investigating a death in Cambria County.
According to police, emergency medical services personnel responded to a home on Spruce Street in Sankertown Borough just before 5:30 a.m. March 6.
The victim, 32-year-old Jeffery Wyland, was taken to UPMC Altoona where he died three days later.
Police said although minor injuries were found on Wyland's body, blunt force trauma is not suspected as the cause of death and preliminary results indicate Wyland's death were likely due to a drug overdose.
A final cause and manner of death are still pending as an autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending.
