Two men are facing charges after police said they used an unauthorized credit card to purchase three generators from a Cambria County store.

Police said the owner of Pristow’s Sales and Service in Stoney Creek township told authorities someone had purchased three generators with an unauthorized credit card for $3,317.77.

He told police when the generators were supposed to be picked up so an officer could be there to question the suspects.

According to police, on Wednesday, Derrick Brown and Saekuan Smith showed up to the store in a U-Haul to pick up the generators.

One of the men signed the invoice agreeing to pay the amount for the generators.

When questioned by police, the men said they were being paid to pick up the generators for someone they had met on Instagram and take them to New York.

The two men were taken into custody.

Both men face several charges, including theft by deception.

They are being held in the Cambria County Prison.
