Pink Out Clinic for Breast Cancer Awareness
STATE COLLEGE - The annual "Pink Out" skills clinic at State College Area High School was in full effect Monday.
The State High girls’ basketball players coached boys and girls in grades 1st through 8th in basic basketball skills.
Those attending got pointers on everything from ball handling and passing to shooting and layups.
The annual clinic serves as an opportunity for current players to learn how to coach others while giving back to the community.
“It’s easiest to give back through activities that you’re passionate about. And that’s what's fun to see our girls in the gym working with other kids.” State College Area High School girls’ basketball coach, Chris Leazer said, “It’s not just raising money for breast cancer, it’s also working with these younger kids to show them how impactful playing sports can be.”
The clinic benefits the foundation for Mount Nittany Breast Health Fund.
