New play place for families is opening in the Galleria

The Hogue's Fun Factory is opening its doors this weekend inside the Galleria.

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP - The Hogue's Fun Factory is opening its doors this weekend inside the Galleria.

The play place is located on the second level of the mall next to Sears.

"We were looking for a place for customers to bring their kids to a safe place to play," said Chris Hogue, co-owner of Hogue's Fun Factory.

There are two parts to the new facility - a 20-game arcade and bounce houses in the back room.

"We are going to specialize in birthday parties and we have two private party rooms," Hogue said.

The owners emphasized this is not a day care; parents can't drop their kids off while shopping in the mall. It's a play center for the whole family.

The Hogue brothers teamed up with "Cuddles For Kids" to give back to the community.

Cuddles For Kids is a charity that started 10 years ago in Johnstown, donating toys and stuffed animals to hospitals across the state.

Kids get free admission at the grand opening Saturday by donating one new stuffed animal or toy.

"I think it was the perfect fit," said Cuddles For Kids founder Conner Hagins. "There's nothing more special or important for kids than something like this."

Hogue's Fun Factory will be open weekdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

It will stay open until 9 p.m. Saturdays and 5 p.m. Sundays.

Gift baskets and prizes will be given away at the grand opening, plus a birthday party package for one lucky kid. Some proceeds will go towards Cuddles For Kids.
