Heart of priest draws crowd to Altoona church
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) —
Many people gathered at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona on Thursday to see the incorrupt heart of St. John Vianney.
Vianney is known as the patron saint of priests.
Some say he was famous for spending hours in the confessional, hearing people's confessions.
His heart is usually kept in the shrine of Ars in France.
This is the second time it has been in the United States.
After Thursday, the heart will be taken to Philadelphia.
Officials say it will remain in the United States until Memorial Day.
