Grant from energy company will benefit STEAM at Jackson Elementary
JACKSON TWP, Pa. (WJAC) —
Energy Transfer made a donation to Jackson Elementary School Friday.
School officials said the $5,000 grant will help fund supplies for crucial learning projects.
The projects are part of the school's STEAM program.
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.
School officials and Energy Transfer representatives agree that these projects will help students learn tools they'll need for careers later in life.
Energy Transfer is the company that built the Mariner East II pipeline.
The pipeline carries natural gas through several states, including Pennsylvania.
It goes through several counties in our region, including Cambria, Blair and Huntingdon.
