Ghost Town Trail recieves new crosswalk
NANTY GLO, Pa. (WJAC) —
Another part of the Ghost Town Trail extension has been completed.
The Ghost Town Trail received a new crosswalk as part of a recent bridge replacement project.
The $2.1 million project also included sidewalk repairs and other upgrades funded by PennDOT.
The crosswalk is located on Chestnut Street in Nanty Glo.
“The Ghost Town Trail gets about 80,000 users a year so it's a pretty highly trafficked trail, especially here in the Nanty Glo section, so having a crosswalk like this, it gives a little more safety without taking away from the experience of the trail,” said Kaytlin Lusk of the Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority.
The Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority said these projects and improvements wouldn't happen without working together with different organizations.
