The DuBois Jaycees were out Christmas shopping at Walmart for 30 local families in need.

It's one of many charitable events, fundraisers and volunteer activities in which they're involved.

The group was given names of low income families by the DuBois Area School District.

Each child is designated $100 to be used towards their wish list of clothes and toys.

Members raise money all year long for this special event.

"This is our most favorite event, everyone loves doing this. Tthey show up they love to shop because all of our hard work that we do fundraising for throughout the year just goes straight back into the community and we can see that our hard work is paying off," said President Randi Johnson.

Santa Claus also helped out the Jaycees with their shopping.

If you're interested in volunteering in the DuBois community, the organization is in need of new members.
