DUBOIS, Pa. — The City of DuBois announced the bridge on Beaver Drive reopened Thursday around 1 p.m.
The bridge was closed Sept. 10 and all traffic was rerouted to Maple Drive and Route 255, which caused congestion and delays for drivers.
City Manager Herm Suplizio said the former bridge had a weight limit and needed to be repaired.
Suplizio said the work was completed eight days ahead of schedule.
"The completion of the bridge has relieved a big tension on the city and we appreciate everyone being respectful to the workers and bearing with us for awhile," Suplizio said.
