UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — Auditor General Eugene Depasquale was at Penn State on Thursday to hear from scientists about global warming.
The auditor general is specifically looking at what it could mean for the state's economy.
The federal report on climate change is being used as a blueprint.
Depasquale says it paints a picture of devastating impacts in future years if nothing is done now, especially in the farming industry and agricultural business.
Thursday's hearing was one of three to be held statewide.
The auditor general plans to issue a report on the impact of climate change on Pennsylvania sometime this summer.
