$500,000 donated to new nursing home in Centre County
COLLEGE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) —
A big funding boost came Friday for a Centre County nursing home project.
A $500,000 donation to the Centre Care Organization will go to the new Centre Crest Nursing Home.
The donation comes from the Centre County government, which used to own and operate the nursing home until 2013, when it was turned over to Centre Care.
Work on the new facility is underway with a $6 million fundraising campaign.
The new Centre Crest is being built in College Township, along the Benner Pike, and is expected to open sometime next year.
