Josh Gallagher performs new songs at Cambria County Fair
EBENSBURG - Former NBC’s The Voice contestant Josh Gallagher took a break from writing new music in the studio to hit the stage at the Cambria County Fair Monday night.
Gallagher performed three new songs that had the fans on their feet dancing and singing.
The singer said he has been spending a lot of time in the studio and hopes to have a new album out by 2018.
"I’m working on my album. I’ve been writing a lot lately; I’ve been putting out some pretty good songs,” said Gallagher. “You can't write a hit with every single song. I’m just trying to produce a lot of really great songs."
As a Cresson native, Gallagher said he grew up attending the annual Cambria County Fair.
The singer joked about things he loves at the fair, including fried food.
Above all, he said it’s an honor to perform on the same stage as other well-known country artists.
“Blake’s played here, Waylon Jennings way back in the day played here, Miranda Lambert, Swon brothers were here not too long ago ... a lot of people from The Voice. So it's pretty cool. That's my fondest memory here is growing up coming here to see all the shows.”
