Water crashes into hospital cafeteria

Kearney, Neb. -- Flash flooding can happen any time, almost anywhere, as the staff of a Nebraska hospital learned.

As heavy rains fell in the Kearny area over the weekend, the doors of Good Samaritan Hospital weren't able to keep the water back.

Early Saturday morning, flood waters burst through the locked door of the hospital cafeteria, gushing nine feet of water into the building.

Administrators said the flooding was caused by backed up sewer drains during the rainstorm.

There were no injuries and the water didn't reach any patient areas.
