National Signing Day: area athletes ink college choices

Wednesday marked the beginning of the early signing period and a number of area athletes signed NLI's making their college choices official.

Hollidaysburg had a pair of athletes sign today: Brock Irvin will play football at Towson, and Darcie Frazier will run Track at California University of Pennsylvania.

Altoona sent two football standouts to the next level: Gaige Hill signed with Toledo, and Mitch Lawhead inked his NLI with Lehigh.

Standout placekicker for Justin Wheeler's Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders, Kolton McGhee signed his NLI with West Virginia University.

And lastly, the Richland Rams sent a pair of athletes officially to the next level today: Collin Instone will play football, and Kaitlyn Townsend signed her NLI with Shippensburg University volleyball.
