Westmont & Johnstown to Play for Tomahawk Cup Final

By Pat Welter

This weekend the War Memorial was home to it's own kind of frozen four.  Westmont, Johnstown, Bishop McCort, and Richland all battling for a city title: the first ever Tomahawks Cup.

Sunday night featured an opening round where Johnstown scored first and didn't look back taking the 7-3 victory over Bishop McCort.

The night cap of Richland and Westmont was a chippy affair that at one point had 4 players in the penalty box.  But as the score indicates it wasn't much of a competition, Westmont controlled throughout, 5-1 over Richland.

Monday will feature a consolation game at 5:30pm and the championship between Westmont and Johnstown at 7:30pm.
