Officials team up to keep streets safe during the holiday

EAST CARROLL TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The DUI task force was out in Cambria County with checkpoints due to the holiday. 

St. Paddys Day weekend lead state and local law enforcement to team up to help keep the streets safe. 

Police said they had a successful night with four arrests, two drug arrests, six underage drinkers and 26 traffic citations. 

In a very short amount of time, said Sgt. Joseph Loughran from Pennsylvania State Police in Ebensburg. We were very successful in that regard. 

Officials were on Route 219 and Sunset Road in East Carroll Township and concluded the night with roving DUI patrols.
