Car accident causes four people to be transported to trauma center

WORTH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police said four people were transported to the Altoona Trauma Center after being involved in a crash in Worth Township, Centre County.

The crash occurred when a black 2002 Ford Explorer lost control near mile marker 61.4 on Interstate 99 Saturday, police said.

Police said after losing control the car hit a concrete bridge barrier and then overturned.

Jessica D. Miller, 24, was ejected from the car and sustained severe injuries.

Gary L. Allen, 38, and a 5 year old, who were passengers in the car, sustained severe injuries during the crash, said police.

Police said a 9-year-old passenger also sustained moderate injury during the crash.

All occupants of the car were transported to Altoona Trauma Center.
