1 shot, home surrounded in Cambria Co.

SCALP LEVEL, Pa. -- One person has been shot and emergency crews have surrounded a home in a southern Cambria County community.

Somerset County emergency dispatch confirmed to 6 News reporter Jacklyn Kovac that police attempted to serve a warrant at a home in the 300 block of Main Street in Scalp Level, Cambria County, on Thursday afternoon, leading to the incident unfolding.

Dispatchers confirmed a woman who was running from the home was shot by someone who was inside the house.

The condition of that woman was not immediately available.

A Cambria County emergency dispatch supervisor said the county's special emergency response team was called to the area.

There was no information immediately available about the individual inside the home.

There was a heavy police presence in the Scalp Level area, which is just between Windber, Somerset County and Richland Township, Cambria County.
