Woman killed on Route 255 in Clearfield Co.

HUSTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police said a woman was killed after losing on control of her SUV and crashing into a utility pole.

State police at DuBois said Tammi Markievich, 42, was speeding on Route 255 in Huston Township when she lost control of her Jeep and hit a utility pole.

Police said the accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night.

Markievich lost control of her Jeep and went over a small embankment which then caused the car to roll.

Her vehicle rolled nine times before stopping in a field, police said.

Markievich was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Deputy Coroner Kimberlee Shaffer Snyder.
