Two arrested after drugs sold to undercover officer

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Police said a heroin bust in Altoona left two individuals facing drug charges.

Police said John Jukes and John Haddock Jr. are facing drug charges after a confidential informant purchased eight packets of heroin from Jukes and Haddock.

Police said Jukes had $1,807 in cash, including $180 of task force funds, and a suboxone sublingual strip, said police.

Officers observed Jukes attempt to discard something in a car; Jukes then admitted that he had discarded heroin into the vehicle.

Also found on Jukes was an additional 17 packets of heroin, a pellet gun designed to look like a glock handgun, a cellphone and a container with several empty heroin packets from the car.

Jukes and Haddock Jr. are both charged with delivery of heroin, possession of heroin/ paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy. In addition Jukes is also charged with tampering with evidence, criminal use of communication facility and possession of heroin.

Jukes and Haddock Jr. are in the Blair County Jail.

The investigation continues.
