Police: Man breaks into Centre Co. apartment

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Police said a man from State College is in jail after forcing his way into an apartment.  

Police said Paul L. Lenker allegedly attempted to force his way into 127 South Barnard St. and damaged the apartment door while injuring a man who tried to block his way.  

Lenker attempted to leave and police said they found him a block away after a short foot pursuit.   

Police said Lenker was very intoxicated at the time. 

Lenker is in the Centre County Jail after not posting his $50,000 bail.  

He faces more than a half dozen of charges, including resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
