WALKER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- On Friday around 9 p.m. police arrived to Piney Ridge Road, Walker Township, for a single-car crash.

Police said the car was traveling south when a 51-year-old woman lost control of her car.

The car continued to travel off of the roadway, partially making its way into the western side shoulder.

After traveling off of the roadway, the car traveled about 300 feet before hitting a tree with the left front portion of her car.

The car then rotated counterclockwise and came to a rest approximately 60 feet east of the tree in a residents yard.

Police said the woman was located in the drivers seat and pronounced dead on the scene.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor.

Assisted on scene were Huntingdon Regional FD/EMS, Smithfield Fire Department and Dereks Towing.

The victims name is being withheld until all of the family notifications are made.
