Four arrested after vehicle entry in Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Police said four individuals were taken into custody after Altoona police responded to a male breaking a window out of a car and stole items.

A person watching from the 1600 block of 12th Street observed this happening and called police.

Police said out of the four individuals, three were juveniles. One was 12-years-old and two were 14-years-old while John Wissinger, 21, was the one seen allegedly breaking into the car.

After investigation, police said the four had broken into four other vehicles before taken into custody.

Wissinger was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, corruption of minors, criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime, theft of moveable property, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night, possession of controlled substance and criminal mischief.

Wissinger was transported to Blair County central booking for processing and arraignment.

Allegations will be compiled against the juveniles.
