Two injured in Clearfield Co. crash

BRADFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Clearfield County Monday morning, state police officials said.

State police at Clearfield said the crash happened about 6:45 a.m. on Clearfield Woodland Highway (Route 322) in the area of Shiloh Road in Bradford Township.

Police said a Joshua Burley, 30, of Philipsburg, was driving west when for unknown reasons he swerved out of his lane and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Mitchel Stephens, 26, of Clearfield.

After colliding with Stephens vehicle, Burleys vehicle then spun around and collided with a vehicle being driven by Nichole Stiles, 35, of Clearfield, police said.

Burley suffered major injuries and was flown by Stat MedEvac to UPMC Altoona for treatment, police said. Stiles suffered minor injuries and Stephens was not injured. All three were wearing seat belts.
