Hollidaysburg High School placed on lockdown after threat

By: WJAC Web Staff

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. -- Officials with the Hollidaysburg Area School District in Blair County placed the high school on lockdown Wednesday morning following a threat that was made against the school.

In a post on the district's Facebook page, high school administrators learned about a threat that was made by a male student. Exact information on the type of threat was not immediately available.

"The threat was unsubstantiated, but proper precautions are being taken by the school district administration and borough police to ensure student safety," the post said.

The school was on lockdown while the threat was investigated, the district said. It was determined the threat was unfounded and all students were safe.
