Man from Johnstown pled guilty to third-degree murder
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- A man from Johnstown took a plea deal Saturday in regard to the shooting death of another Johnstown man.
Shaliek Greene pled guilty to third-degree murder in Cambria County Court Saturday afternoon.
There is still no word on a motive but prosecutors said this brings a closure.
Green admitted to shooting and killing Joshua Price inside his Cypress Avenue apartment in Moxham in early February.
A jury was to be picked Monday and trial to start Tuesday but Greene took the deal Saturday.
The maximum would be 20 to 40 years, said Assistant District Attorney Jessica Aurandt.
Unfortunately he made a bad decision back in February, said Dave Beyer, Greene's attorney.
Greene is expected to be sentenced on Jan. 27.
