Fire Safety Tips When Staying Warm

The weather outside is frightful, and while a warm fire may seem delightful, fire experts want to warn everybody to be careful. You don't want to heat things up too much

DuBois Fire Chief John Emerick says, many people go to desperate measures to heat their homes when cold weather strikes. Using appliances such as stoves and too many space heaters to heat is always a bad idea, because of the risk of electrical fires and carbon monoxide.

You should always have a smoke and carbon monoxide detector in your home.
