Freezing rain is likely Saturday between 8am and 2 pm in Clarion, Jefferson, Elk, Cameron, Clearfield and Forest counties, where the NWS has an advisory in place. Patchy freezing rain is also possible across the rest of the region early in the day.

Fatal crash closes Rt. 30 in Somerset Co.

QUEMAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. --

At least one person was killed in a Monday afternoon crash in Somerset County, officials said.

Somerset County emergency dispatchers said the coroner was called to the crash scene that involved two commercial vehicles and a pickup. The crash was reported in the 4200 block of Lincoln Highway (Route 30) in Quemahoning Township at about 2 p.m.

Officials said at least two patients suffered critical injuries in the crash and one person was flown to an area hospital for treatment.

Officials advised that the area near the crash was closed and would remain closed for an extended period of time.

State police will be investigating the crash, dispatchers said.
