New playground to allow all to play on

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. --

A local nonprofit is donating more than $30,000 to a playground project in our area.

Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy Foundation is presenting a $33,000 check to the Ebensburg regional inclusive playground.

The project will build a playground made for kids with disabilities and non-disabilities to come together and play.

It is expected to break ground in the summer of 2014 on the ground of Central Cambria Elementary School.

We really expect that check will help propel us into really making this project come a reality, said Central Cambria Elementary Principal Dr. Luke Lansberry.

We would like to encourage all of the businesses in the multiple county area to look at that website and look at the information at the inclusive playground and be a part of this fantastic story, said Central Cambria Education Foundation President Dennis Simmers.

The total project is estimated to cost about $245,000.

To donate online, the website is cceducationfoundation.org
