Police 'gobble up' suspects in Clearfield Co. sweep

CLEARFIELD, Pa. -- A week before Thanksgiving, Clearfield County officials announced the arrest of 13 people allegedly involved in drug activity.
Called operation "Gobble Up" by Clearfield County District Attorney Bill Shaw, law enforcement officers canvassed the county Thursday morning arresting people on a variety of alleged drug charges.
Shaw said approximately 40 officers were involved in the sweep and police were successful in apprehending everyone they were seeking.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and officers from the Clearfield County Drug Task Force identified the suspects as active participants in drug activities in the county, Shaw said.
Shaw said through their investigations, surveillance and undercover purchases, some of the drugs involved in were cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and various prescription medications.
Shaw said despite the 13 arrests, other drug-related investigations continued throughout the county and more arrests could be made.
Those arrested as part of Operation Gobble Up were:
-Ashley Marie Kirk, 25, of East Cherry Street, Clearfield, charged with assisting in the sale of subutex pills to an undercover agent.
-Aszure Luzier, 36, of Philipsburg, charged with stealing other individuals identities and forging their signatures in order to obtain numerous prescription medications.
-Brandon Timko, 26, of Fourth Avenue, Curwensville, charged with assisting another individual in delivering heroin to an undercover agent, and also with delivering cocaine to an undercover agent.
-Connie Nivotney, 53, of Pine Street, Curwensville, charged with selling marijuana to an undercover agent on two separate occasions.
-Crystal Wise, 34, of Leavey Avenue, Clearfield, charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
-James Burnside, 49, of North Church Street, DuBois, charged with selling prescription medication to an undercover agent.
-Justin Christopher Wisor, 20, of Hogback Hill Road, Mineral Springs, charged with selling synthetic marijuana to an undercover agent.
-Krista Wilkinson, 25, of Clearfield, charged with bringing prescription medication into the Clearfield County Jail.
-Lacey Levesque, 23, of Fourth Avenue, Curwensville, charged with assisting another individual in delivering heroin to an undercover agent.
-Mark James Hackett, 26, of Post Office Road, Mineral Springs, charged with selling prescription medication to an undercover agent.
-Taylor Chantel Johns, 22, of Cooper Avenue, Grassflat, charged with selling prescription medication to an undercover agent.
-David Carrier, 46, of Philipsburg, charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
-Matthew Smith, 29, of Clearfield, charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.
Some of those arrested were facing felony charges.
Shaw said agents from the Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Identification, officers with Clearfield Borough, Curwensville Borough, Decatur Township, DuBois, Lawrence Township and Morris-Cooper police departments, the Pennsylvania State Police K-9 Unit, the Clearfield County Drug Task Force, and Deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office assisted in the operation.
