4 killed in Cambria Co. shooting

*Update* -- State police told 6 News there is no planned news conference planned for today, but media will be receiving a news release sometime later today.


ALLEGHENY TWP., CAMBRIA CO., Pa. -- A late night shooting Friday left four people dead at a home just southwest of Ashville, the Cambria County District Attorney told 6 News.

Kelly Callihan said a total of five people are involved, but four of them are dead.  She said it appeared that all the victims knew each other.  She said a husband, wife and son were inside the home when the daughter and an unidentified person arrived. 

She said three people were found dead inside the home while the fourth died at an Altoona hospital.

The fifth person is being questioned by state police, she said.

Officials said the public is in no danger from this incident.

She categorized the incident as a home invasion, but said it wasnt a robbery attempt.  

The incident happened around 10 oclock on Bottom Road.

Callihan and the county coroner arrived on scene just before midnight Friday.  There was no release of names or details at a news briefing held just after 1 on Saturday morning.

People and media were kept a long distance away from the scene.
