Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered in crash

LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, Pa. --

A Somerset man has died from injuries he suffered in a weekend motorcycle crash.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon on Route 985 in Lincoln Township.

Pennsylvania State Police said 58-year-old Scott James motorcycle turned on its side just before the bike rear-ended a car that was stopped to make a turn.

Officials said James died from head and chest injuries.

His passenger, 29-year-old Valerie James, was also thrown from the motorcycle and was struck by a car in the other lane. Valerie James was transported to Memorial Medical Center.
