JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- An elderly woman is recovering in a Pittsburgh hospital after catching herself on fire in Johnstown this past Friday.

According to the womans family, Mary Homan is in critical condition at a burn center in Pittsburgh where she is currently in a medically induced coma.

Homan is expected to have a skin graft procedure performed Monday morning.

Her family was told by doctors that the first 48 hours are the most critical and they are hopeful she will be able to make it through.

Were feeling better that she might recover from this but there is no guarantee but we are feeling better about it, said family member Debra.

The family said Homan will need to undergo several surgerys and will have a long road to make a full recovery.
