Police: Woman allegedly steals $2,000 from Hidden Valley Ski Shop

By: WJAC Web Staff

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police said Billie Sleith allegedly took merchandise off the rack in a Hidden Valley Ski Shop, scanned it in the computer to be purchased and then returned the merchandise for money to be put on her credit card.

This occurred 10 times over two weeks totaling $2,718.27, said police.

Police said the shop owner may find additional charges in the future.

The owner provided the state police with credit card evidence of Sleith for the falsified returns, said police.

Police said also supplied was surveillance video showing Sleith committing the false transactions.
