Police: Man charged after dog freezes to death

Dog found frozen to dog house floor

CURTIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- State police filed charges against a Centre County man after his dog was found dead and frozen to a floor.

State police at Rockview charged Ronald Eugene Haines, 46, with cruelty to animals after his dog "was found behind his residence in a dog house dead and frozen to the floor."

Police said the dog was found at about 1 p.m. Wednesday at Haines Long Street home in Curtin Township.

No additional information was immediately available.
