Centre Co. man cited for animal cruelty

By: WJAC Web Staff

MILESBURG, Pa. -- A Centre County man was cited for animal cruelty after police said four dogs were outside without adequate shelter and frozen water.

State police at Rockview cited Travis Conaway, of Boalsburg, on Monday for cruelty to animals after troopers investigated several complaints from neighbors that four dogs on his property did not have appropriate shelter.

The four dogs were found outside with only two dog houses, police said. It appeared the four dogs would be able to fit inside the two houses because of their size.

Police said the dogs water bowls were frozen and two of the dogs were short hair breeds. Conaway was advised to keep the animals indoors due to the cold weather conditions.
