SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police in Centre County are investigating after animals were found living in deplorable conditions inside of a house.

Spring Township police said they were notified of the situation Tuesday morning at the home in the 100 block of Harrison Road in Pleasant Gap.

Police said officials from a bank were at the home to review the property for foreclosure when the animals were discovered.

Police said four dogs and two cats were found in the home that was filled with feces and trash.

The animals were taken to a veterinarian clinic to be cleaned and checked. Investigators are still determining how injured or sick the animals are.

Police said no arrests have been made, but they do have a person of interest in this case.
