DALE, Pa. -- Officials in Cambria County removed dozens of cats from a home Thursday morning.
Dale Borough police said they received a call to check on the conditions of a home in the 100 block of Arthur Street and when they arrived, found two woman and more than 50 cats inside the house.
Police said conditions in the home were not good, and called the humane society and a Johnstown animal control officer to remove the cats. The two women living in the home, who were not named, voluntarily turned over the cats.
Police said charges have not been filed. The women were permitted to keep a few cats.
The cats are being kept at the Cambria County Humane Society.
