Convicted killer to get new trial

By: WJAC Web Staff

A Blair County man serving a life sentence for a 2004 murder will be getting a new trial.

According to the Altoona Mirror, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has rejected a motion from county prosecutors, asking that a retrial for 41-year-old Paul Ross be denied.

Ross was convicted for the murder of Tina Miller, whose body was found at Canoe Creek State Park.

The state Superior Court ordered a new trial for Ross, and the decision was upheld by the states highest court this week.
