Johnstown Fire Dept. raising money for Coats for Kids

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. --

The Johnstown Fire Department is trying to give back to the kids in the community this winter.

The department is joining the annual campaign called Firefighters Coats for Kids.

In Johnstown, more than 48% of kids live below poverty. The department is hoping to raise $3,500 dollars to get at least one grade of kids a brand new coat at East Side Elementary.

They said it's a great way to give back and ensure that no child gets left out in the cold.
The department is accepting donations until October 25th.

If you would like to donate, you can go online to operationwarm.com/Johnstown. Monetary donations are also accepted by mail to Johnstown Professional Firefighters, P.O. Box 454, Johnstown, PA 15907.
