Steelers release 2017 regular-season schedule
PITTSBURGH – Five prime-time games and playoff rematches against the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots highlight the Steelers’ 2017 regular-season schedule, released by the NFL Thursday night.
The Steelers, who went 11-5 and won the AFC North Division in 2016 on their way to the AFC championship game, will open the season in Cleveland Sep. 10 against the division rival Browns.
Their home opener will be Sept. 17 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Pittsburgh will travel to Arrowhead Stadium Oct. 15 for a rematch with the Chiefs, whom the Steelers beat 18-16 in the AFC divisional round last year.
The Steelers will also face the Houston Texans on Christmas Day. That game will be broadcast on WJAC.
Other notable games include Oct. 1 as the Steelers take on the rival Baltimore Ravens for the first time, a Thursday night game Nov. 16 at home against the Tennessee Titans, and an AFC championship game rematch with the New England Patriots Dec. 17 at Heinz Field.
Channel 6 will also broadcast the games against Oct. 29 when the Steelers travel to take on the Detroit Lions, Nov. 16 against the Titans, Nov. 26 against the Green Bay Packers, and Dec. 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.
