Lady Lions beat Wake Forest
UNIVERSITY PARK -- After facing two straight losses in Las Vegas, the Lady Lions were back on home court on Thursday to host Wake Forest in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. They used that to the Bryce Jordan Center to their advantage to get back in the win column, beating the Demon Deacons 68-58.
A strong, fast first half, that put the Lady Lions up 38-14, and the return of star guard Teniya Page helped the Lady Lions edge out their sixth win of the season. This was Page's first game on her home court since returning from an ankle injury and she proved just how comfortable she was, finishing with a game-high 21 points and 2 rebounds.
Connecticut transfer De'Janae Boykin almost completed a double-double, putting up nine points and 11 boards. Three Lady Lions finished in double digit scoring, including Jaida Travascio-Green (11) and Kamaria McDaniel (12).
The Lady Lions continue the conference challenge on Saturday at Manhattan.
