Rifle team winning championships, scholarships

JEROME -- Conemaugh Township boasts one of the best high school programs most have never heard of. The Indians are taking aim at championships, and scholarships.

Their rifle program has fast become one of the top teams in Pennsylvania under head coach Brian Spory and his assistants.

"It's always a challenge, always competitive," rife team member Seth Strayer told 6 Sports.

These handful of youth hunters have transformed into trained marksmen, many of who move on to compete in college.

"I'm looking at Akron, Morehead State and Ohio State University," Annie Tomb told 6 Sports.

The Indians won a state championship last year and are undefeated this season.
